DIY Feeding Friends (Good for toddlers)

I bet any toddler will like this adorable toy. My 2 year old sister loves it and always asks if she can feed it. I make a circle of felt and cut out a circle of t-shirt material the same size. Then I hand sew the edges. I make a face on the T-shirt part of it and cut a slit for the mouth.

Because the mouth is on stretchy fabric it can "eat" things larger than it's mouth. For the food, I cut out some food pictures from magazines or sales papers and glue it onto cardboard.

If you want, beforehand, you can sew a pipe cleaner in the top for a handle. You can also add a beard or even ears on them. I kept mine simple. My sister liked it just fine. So, now that you're done, give it to your little brother or sister or just keep it for yourself. It doesn't matter what you do with them. Just have fun!

Shall we feed them now?

DIY Barbie: winter outfit

It is really fun to design clothes. This costume you see on my Barbie was inspired by Elsa from the movie "Frozen."
To make earmuffs, use two tiny pom poms and cut a pipe cleaner long enough to go over her head and around each pom pom. I stripped mine to make it look more thin.
Wearing this costume, complete with earmuffs, will make the cold never bother her any day!

DIY Barbie book craft

These Barbies don't have to go to the library any more! They have got their own home-made books! You can make your dolls some too. Just cut a felt rectangle and sew a border around the edge. Fold the rectangle in half and sew on the fold.
Next make a stack of little papers to fit inside and staple them together to form a book. Glue the book inside the cover.
Here comes the fun part.....decorating!
If you have any, glue little nick nacks on. You can sew a picture or title on the front.
Happy reading!

Cloth locket DIY

I made this cloth locket with felt.
I printed a small picture to put inside.
You can use a needle and thread to sew a string through to make a necklace.

Cut out a circle on the fold of your felt and scallop the edges so it looks like an oyster.
You can glue a picture inside and even include a note if you're giving it to someone.

It's a good gift for a friend.

Kidmade Coasters DIY (fromhttp://www.henryhappened.com)

My mom found this idea online here : http://www.henryhappened.com and is was really easy to do.
I used 3 simple steps
1. Gather 2 squares of felt and some cut strips of felt, scissors and a needle and thread
2. Cut slits through one of the felt squares and weave the strips over and under them.
3. Cut off the excess felts and sew the other square on to it.
These coasters are good for hot or cold drinks and keep them from damaging your table.
Have fun sipping!

I can bake!

I made some cookies all by myself. It was a lot of fun to do everything from start to finish (including clean-up). I made 21 M&M cookies and they lasted 2 days!

Last Minute St. Patrick's Day craft

This colorful pinata is a great last minute project. Other may use cardboard and tape, but this one is just paper. I wasn't it sure at break at first, but after everyone had a turn it did. It was filled with chocolate coins and was a big hit!(get it?)

Valentine Craft (pulling my heart strings)

Here is a simple valentine to pass out to your friends and family, a valentine filled with love, or in other words, chocolate! Cut out two hearts and two thin strips of paper. Glue one strip to the bottom of each heart and decorate the other side. Place small chocolates in the middle and glue the sides together with the strips on the inside. To open, pull the strips apart.
Happy Valentines!

What I've been up to?

Since I haven't posted a lot of things on my blog recently, I'll just tell you what I've been up to.
I got a few days off of school for Chinese New Year. On Chinese New Year, we have Chinese New Year candies and we open hong baos. Hong boa means red envelope and inside there is money.

I've been busy riding my new bike. I got it for my birthday. We went out to eat and on another day, we went on a picnic with some of our friends. People mainly brought snacks, but it was fun and we got lots of exercise.
